Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Total Testing Solutions now offers MonkeyPox testing. A healthcare provider will review your eligibility for testing prior to your appointment via a virtual consultation. Once approved for testing, samples are collected via a swab at one of our local Los Angeles drive-through test sites.
MonkeyPox is typically associated with symptoms such as blister or pimple-like rashes on the face, mouth, genitals, hands or feet, fever, chills, headache, muscle ache and swollen lymph nodes.

Monkeypox can spread close or skin-to-skin contact, including:
○ Direct contact with monkeypox rash or body fluids from an infected individual.
○ Sharing objects, clothing, towels or coming into contact with surfaces that have
been used by someone with monkeypox.
○ Respiratory secretions from an infected individual.
○ Contact with an animal positive for the virus.

While most cases of MonkeyPox do resolve on their own without medical intervention, an FDA-approved medication called Tecovirimat or TPoxx has been authorized for the treatment of MonkeyPox in positive individuals. If you do test positive, our providers are available to consult with you on treatment options and prescribe tecoverimat if applicable.

Monkeypox vaccines are currently in limited supply, and are available to
eligible patients only by local health departments. To find a monkeypox vaccine site
